Robert W. Snyder, MD, PhD

Chief Clinical Officer — Aging Health Sciences

Dr. Robert W. Snyder brings more than four decades of clinical and academic experience in ophthalmology to the MaculaPM® team. As a practicing ophthalmologist and surgeon, he has devoted his career to understanding how the eye ages and how visual health can be preserved over time.

Dr. Snyder served as Chairman of Ophthalmology at the University of Arizona, where he led clinical programs and contributed to peer-reviewed research across both basic science and applied clinical settings. His PhD in microbiology and cell biology gives him a foundational understanding of the cellular mechanisms that underlie retinal aging — the same biology that informed the development of MaculaPM®.

With peer-reviewed funding spanning both clinical and laboratory research, Dr. Snyder has spent his career at the intersection of scientific inquiry and patient care. His clinical perspective ensures that MaculaPM® is not only grounded in science, but designed with real patients and real visual concerns in mind.

"The eye does not age in isolation — it is a dynamic biological system that depends on daily maintenance, circadian timing, and molecular signaling. MaculaPM® reflects a deeper understanding of that system."
